Miami from the water

This is the water we work in every week, and the only one where our own material tells us more than a caption. The skyline, a sandbar, the stilt houses standing off the flats.

The skylineDowntown from the bay is the picture most people have in mind before they write to us, and it is the one thing here we photograph constantly. The line you take and the hour you leave are set with the captain rather than printed on a page, because both depend on wind, tide and what the light is doing that afternoon.

The sandbarOur host names it once, in a caption on his own video: «23 piedi. Secca / Sandbar». That is the whole of what our archive says about it. It is a real place we go to, and the depth, the crossing and which boats can sit there are confirmed with your quote — not estimated here.

Often, yes — but it depends on the boat, the date and the conditions, so it is agreed when the day is planned rather than promised in advance.

Which boats go where?

On request. The fleet runs from twenty-three feet to a hundred and fifteen, and not every unit suits every part of this water.

How long does it take to get anywhere?

We do not publish times. They change with the boat and the sea, and a figure printed here would be wrong more often than right.
